DEEP LISTENING

A meditation on sound, silence, and the things we notice when we slow down enough to hear.

PRACTICE NOTE

“Listening is a way of being with the world before asking it to become anything else.”

Deep Listening is an invitation to stay with the whole field: the room tone, the breath between notes, the grain of a voice, and the memory a sound can carry. It is less about consuming music than learning how to receive it.

In this space, attention becomes a creative tool. The quieter the mind, the more clearly a place begins to speak.

DEEP LISTENING MEDITATION

A shared practice of tea, sound, and presence.

Deep Listening Meditation is guided by two artists devoted to lived practice.

01 / ARTIST

Nicky Balachandran

Sound designer and sonic architect.

Nicky explores sound as healing, prayer, and a way of traveling inward. His music practice is inseparable from his spiritual practice—a way of listening, creating, and growing that continually brings him into deeper relationship with himself and the world around him.

02 / ARTIST

Nathaniel Vinson

Tea artist and practitioner of ceremonial living.

With more than two decades devoted to the art of tea and ceremonial living, Nathaniel holds tea as a pathway into presence, connection, and inner alignment.

Together, they create an intimate ceremonial environment where tea and sound become guides into deeper states of listening and awareness.

Deep Listening Meditation is an invitation to slow down, become present, and experience the moment in a deeply soulful way. Through the combination of ceremonial tea, immersive sound, meditation, and intentional presence, we create the conditions to listen—not only to the sounds around us, but to what is moving within.

This practice emerged naturally from our own lives. It is something we discovered through years of devotion to our respective practices and eventually found ourselves wanting to share with others.

For us, it is one of the most meaningful experiences we offer. It is transformative every time, yet it never feels the same. There is always something new to hear, feel, discover, or release.

It is a practice of presence. A space to listen deeply. A return to yourself.
