Common Ground International is a small collective of artists, family, and friends who came together to build something greater than any one of us.
It began as an idea, but became a way of life. We came together through music, art, tea, friendship, and a shared desire to create a more peaceful and connected way of living. Common Ground is an online business, creative platform, and evolving ethos rooted in the belief that what we create together can bring healing—to ourselves, to one another, and to the living world around us.

Every encounter, collaboration, and act of creation can be meaningful. With openness, care, and intention, something begins to emerge that none of us could have created alone.

We look to Indigenous cultures and ancestral ways of living as guides toward greater harmony, remembering that humanity has always known how to live in deeper relationship with one another and with the natural world.

A dream that became a shared reality.
Common Ground was founded by Nathaniel Vinson and Nicolas Balachandran, in partnership with Caleb Vinson and Michele Vinson. The story began long before the company existed. For Nathaniel, Common Ground was a dream that had lived in his heart since 1975—an imagination of a place that could embrace all cultures and all people, where what we share becomes the foundation.
“Our common ground is that we are human beings sharing this Earth.”
In 2017, Nathaniel approached Nicolas at a live music gathering. A friendship began, and over time, it became a creative and spiritual partnership. Through years of creating, sharing, listening, and living alongside one another, the original idea of Common Ground began to take form. Caleb and Michele became part of that unfolding, and the circle grew.
In 2025, a dream that had lived in the heart for decades became a shared reality. Common Ground International was born. It is not a finished idea—it is a living practice of finding, and creating, Common Ground.
